Mark your calendars for Saturday January 17th from 8:00 a.m.
to 2:30 p.m. Yasmina's 14th annual swap meet.
Enjoy a day of shopping, workshops, networking with
other dancers and having fun.
The event will be held at the Women's Club of Mesa - 200 N. Macdonald,
Mesa, AZ 85201 (cross streets - University
& Center) --
Vending space is $5.00 (setup will start at 7:00)
Please bring your own table(s) or rugs, setup will be outside. If
you would like shade bring a tent.
Four workshops this year!!! Join Morgiana, Holly, Carrie Konyha and
Yasmina in a variety of workshops.

New Dance Combinations
with Yasmina - 9 - 10 a.m.
Need some new combinations to spice up your dance?
These combos are fused with different cultural flavors and some funk
thrown in to make them fun. Doesn't matter if you are a cabaret or
tribal dancer these new combinations will work in your dance style.
Workshop is for all levels of dancer.

About the
instructor:
Yasmina has been teaching belly dancing since 1989 and
currently teaches at the Mesa Art Center. She started Shimmy Bliss Costuming Co.
in 2004 which caters to the
tribal dancer. Her labor of love website, www.joyofbellydancing.com
is known worldwide.
After her first belly dance class she was hooked on
this beautiful art form and hasn't stopped learning and dancing.
It's now her livelihood and life couldn't be better.
Pops- N-Locks
with Holly 10:30 - 11:30 p.m.
Add a trendy new dimension to your dance, learn to pop-n-lock! If you already know them, it is a fabulous workout! Isolate your moves in a new way, as you create dramatic muscle contractions that accent the music. Great for belly dance and those that enjoy hip-hop.

About the
instructor:
Holly is an instructor from Sedona who teaches both technique and belly dance fitness classes throughout Northern Az. She is a member of The Gypsy Chicks, belly dance troupe and modern dance company The Art of Motion who both perform professionally. Fusing together all forms of dance she strives to have each dancer create a mind and body connection through their own dance, creating their own unique style.
Single Veil
with Morgiana - noon - 1:00 p.m.
Create the look of fluid connection from you to your
veil movements. Never look like you dropped your veil accidentally.
You and Your veil become one! Including great flowing movements to and
from with the veil.

About the
instructor:
Morgiana
discovered belly dance first in 1974 with classes at Phoenix
College. Since then Morgiana has been a continual student,
instructor and performer. Mogiana founded Egyptian Cartouche Dance
Troupe in 1991 and still directs and chooses it's member from her

Shimmy Variations & Layering
with Carrie Konyha - 1:30 - 2:30
Workshops includes a breakdown of the standard 4/4 Egyptian shimmy and a variety of 3/4 shimmies along with techniques for shimmy variations, traveling with shimmies and layering your shimmies with other body movements including circles, slides, 8's , walks, turns and more...

About the
instructor:
Carrie Konyha is a renowned belly dancer, instructor & choreographer who teaches & performs nationwide. Her lifelong passion and professional involvement with dance eventually led her to
belly dance 1994, which she has been studying ardently ever since. Being deeply, spiritually inspired by the feminine sensuality and timeless mystique of this dance, Carrie chose to shift her dance career to focus exclusively on
belly dance (and the sacred aspects of the dance) almost immediately upon being introduced to it. Carrie started her first student dance troupe in 1999 (Gypsy Soul Dance company in Ohio) and has since gone on to create and direct 'Syren
Dance Co. ' and her newest project "White Lotus Bellydance".

All workshops will be held inside and the floor is hardwood so shoes
are optional.
Pay for workshops and vending the day of the event.
